Who runs it
STR Lender Watch is run by David New. He and his wife own and manage short-term rentals in Florida and Tennessee. They love to travel and have been to all 63 national parks.
Why the site exists
STR Lender Watch is an independent comparison of DSCR lenders that say they finance short-term rentals. Every lender figure comes from the lender's own published pages, with a source link and the date we checked it. A blank means the lender doesn't publish that figure.
How we keep it honest
- Sourced and dated. Each figure links to the lender page it came from and shows when it was last checked. See how we verify.
- Estimates are labeled. Rate ranges are estimates (10-year Treasury plus an HMDA-based spread), not quotes.
- No referral fees. We take no referral fees or per-loan payments from lenders. Any sponsorship is flat-fee, labeled "Sponsored" and never changes a lender's data. See Advertise.
- Referral sources are separate. Sources that refer borrowers to other lenders (Easy Lending USA and The Mortgage Shop) are labeled as referral sources and excluded from rankings such as the transparency scores.
- Changes are public. When a lender's published terms change, it goes in the lender change log.
Corrections
Lenders and hosts can send a correction with a source link at any time.
